I had never treated myself to a non-cheapie haircut, so when I decided to splurge and treat myself, I knew I would head to Aveda. I made an appt for the same-day.

The salon is just one, big, open room with a high table and chairs while you're waiting. They offer water or tea while you're waiting, which is a nice touch.

I am not a "fancy" person and was expecting to feel out of place in this salon, but my girl (Allie) was GREAT. She was very chill and amazing. I told her to just do whatever she thought would look good, and she did. She cut my hair using only a razor. It took over an hour, and it looked FABULOUS. It was very flattering to my face. I could not stop touching it for days. Even my husband liked it-- which is saying something, since he's not a huge one for change.

Her price was $40, but considering it took her over an hour to do it, I paid that gladly. I haven't gone back yet, but I certainly will.
